THE SOUNDTRACK OF NOSTALGIA
New Arcades are a London-based electronic duo crafting cinematic soundscapes where retro nostalgia collides with modern synth-driven intensity. Comprising Dean Canty and Adam Sullivan, the pair channel the spirit of the '80s into a bold, future-facing vision—blending shimmering synths, emotive melodies, and pulse-pounding rhythms into a sound that feels both familiar and fresh.
Their debut album Returning Home made a powerful impact in the Synthwave scene, praised for its dreamy textures and emotional depth. Follow-up releases In The Deepest of Dreams (2021) and Leave Something Behind (2023) saw the duo expand their sonic range, showcasing a growing maturity and an increasingly adventurous approach to songwriting and production.
Live, New Arcades are known for immersive performances—atmospheric lighting and cutting-edge visuals combine with their signature sound to create a captivating, transportive experience.
In 2023, they contributed the theme song to RoboDoc: The Creation of RoboCop, a high-profile documentary tribute to the iconic sci-fi film. The collaboration highlighted their knack for capturing cinematic energy and cultural resonance with their music.
Now, as they gear up to release their fourth album in July 2025, New Arcades are entering a darker, more experimental era. This new chapter dives deeper into textured electronic landscapes, pushing beyond their neon-lit roots and into uncharted sonic territory.
